Overview
PhotoPlan is a photography planning and field app. No PhotoPlan account or sign-in is required. The developer does not operate an advertising profile, cross-app tracking system, or user-content cloud for PhotoPlan.
Location
With your permission, PhotoPlan uses device location for local Sun, Moon, weather, map, nearby photography and timing features. When a feature needs remote weather or radar information, geographic coordinates may be sent to the relevant service to return information for that location.
Weather — MET Norway
PhotoPlan requests forecast data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) Locationforecast service. Requests include latitude and longitude and are transmitted directly from the device. Like ordinary internet services, MET Norway may process network information such as an IP address and may retain service logs according to its own terms and privacy practices.
MET Norway APIRadar — Environment and Climate Change Canada
PhotoPlan may request radar information from Environment and Climate Change Canada GeoMet. Requests are made directly from the device. The provider may receive ordinary network request information such as an IP address according to its own service and privacy practices.
ECCC GeoMetMaps
PhotoPlan uses Apple MapKit for maps and geographic presentation. Information handled by Apple through MapKit is governed by Apple’s applicable privacy policies and developer terms.
Apple PrivacyCamera and Photos
Camera access is used for live on-device photographic preview and optional still-reference capture. An image is added to the Photos library only after an explicit capture action and with the required iOS permission. PhotoPlan does not upload captured photos to PhotoPlan-operated servers.
Local Data and Notifications
Plans, preferences and other app state may be stored locally on the device. Optional PhotoPlan alerts are local notifications. PhotoPlan does not require a remote user account to use these features.
External Links and Information Sources
Some features, including seasonal fall-colour resources, may offer links to official external websites. PhotoPlan warns before leaving the app. Once an external site opens, that site’s own privacy policy and terms apply.
Advertising and Tracking
PhotoPlan does not contain third-party advertising and does not use cross-app or cross-website tracking for advertising purposes.
Developer Data Retention
The developer does not maintain a PhotoPlan user-account database or a PhotoPlan server that stores captured photographs. Third-party providers used for weather, radar, maps or linked information may retain network or service logs under their own policies.
